Joseph Blaine Johnson (August 29, 1893 – October 25, 1986) was an American politician who served as the 70th Governor of the state of Vermont.
Born in Helsingborg, Sweden, he became a naturalized U.S. citizen, settling in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont. Johnson was an engineer. Johnson was a Congregationalist.
In 1945 and 1946, Johnson was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives. He was elected to the Vermont Senate from Windsor County in 1947 and served until 1950. From 1951 to 1954 he was the 63rd Lieutenant Governor of Vermont. In 1954 he was elected Governor, an office he held until 1959. Johnson was a Vermont delegate to the 1956 Republican National Convention.
